Supervisor of TransportationThe Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the efficient management of the of the transportation staff and fleet. Must be familiar with contract bidding process and all 19A, DMV, SED, and DOT regulations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, and five (5) years of experience in supervision over a transportation operation; OR Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree, and two (2) years of experience in supervision over a transportation operation. NOTE: SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least twenty-one years of age and possess a Class B with airbrakes and passenger endorsement issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Must be certified by the State Education Department to instruct drivers in safety procedures. Must be able to take, pass, and be reachable on the next test given by the Long Beach Civil Service Commission or be on a Nassau County list. Compensation: Competitive salary
