The LaSalle School is seeking a Director Health Services (Full-Time, exempt, salary). This position will report to the Executive Director.Position Overview:The Director of Health Services is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the health office and delivery of health care services to all campus-based youth (QRTP, Day Services, UC); ensures proper HO staffing, coverage, and on call capacity to serve LaSalle’s 24/7 campus environment and in accordance with all current LSS and pertinent NYS and/ or federal policy; supports all agency initiatives around health, wellness, and trauma informed care; member of the Director’s Leadership Team; collaborates with other department heads to ensure highly effective and therapeutic care for youth at LaSalle; supervises and manages all Health Office professional and paraprofessional staff (e.g., nurses, drivers, aides, and Managed Care Liaison, etc.); oversees and ensures HO staff activity and compliance with all relevant OCFS, SED, 29i, DOH and other relevant regulatory guidance; performs clinical duties as needed.Job Responsibilities (only illustrative and not all inclusive):- hiring, Supervision, Evaluation, Scheduling and Management of entire HO team- develop and maintain all manuals, guidelines and procedures needed to ensure agency regulatory compliance- oversee and coordinate the effective operation of health care services provided to youth enrolled in all campus-based programming through the development and implementation of procedures and practices to be used across the agency, coordinating when necessary with other services, directors and managers- assist HR with the delivery of employee health services as assigned- manage relationships and contracts with medical providers, supplies and health care organizations as necessary to meet the health care needs of youth- develop and deliver medication administration training to LSS staff- provide clinical duties as neededMinimum Qualifications (Experience & Education):Required:- valid NYS RN License- five (5) or more years nursing experience in congregate care setting- leadership and supervision skillsPreferred:- MSN or equivalent degree- NP or equivalent licensure- familiarity with OCFS, DOH, 29i, SED and other relevant regulations as they pertain to the provision of health services in foster care, special education settingsTRAINING (LaSalle Covers Costs or Reimburses Costs): Completion of agency mandatory training components (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training, First Aide/AED/CPR, Boundary Training and others) as well as other OCFS requirements during first six months of hire.Hours & Schedule of the Position:- FT position candidates: 35hrs per week, schedule could include Monday through Friday + weekends (Days and Evening Shifts)- staff are able to coordinate/plan time off accordingly as the schedule is being developedAbout the Agency:The LaSalle School is a highly regarded, and nationally accredited provider of therapeutic, educational and supportive services designed to accomplish positive, personal growth and lasting change in the lives of youth and families in need.
