Lansingburgh Central School District is accepting applications for an Athletic Director, with service to commence July 1, 2026. This is a full-time, 11-month, tenure track position that is represented by the Lansingburgh Administrators Association. This position has a minimum starting salary of $100,000, with excellent fringe benefits. Job Description Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Schools, the Athletic Director oversees and is responsible for all matters relating to the implementation and support of the health education, physical education and athletics programs District-wide. Responsibilities include but shall not be limited to the following: Recruiting and recommending appropriate staff for coaching and other related positions Ensuring proper credentialing of all athletic coaches Supervising and evaluating coaches, physical education teachers, health education teachers, and other non-instructional staff Overseeing the physical education and athletics programs as well as their budgets Facilitating and supporting District-wide health and wellness programs Overseeing the development and implementation of curricula in related areas Collaborating with community organizations Developing and submitting accurate reports at the District and State level Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate program implementation to drive improvement Researching instructional best practices; and developing and/or delivering appropriate professional development opportunities for staff and administrators. Required Qualifications New York State School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) Certification Preferred Qualifications Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in either health or physical education Prior experience as a school administrator at either the building or district level
