The Lansingburgh Central School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Band Teacher to lead and develop our instrumental music program for students in grades 4 through 8. This is a full-time, 10-month, tenure track position serving both the elementary (Grades 4–5) and middle school (Grades 6–8) buildings. Minimum salary expectation of at least $56,605 for entry-level/Masters prepared candidates. Salary steps may be negotiable depending on level of education, certification and/or experience.The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for music education, the ability to inspire young musicians, and a commitment to building a strong, inclusive band program that supports students at all levels of experience. Duties may include but shall not be limited to:Providing band instruction to students in Grades 4 through 8 across two school buildings.Delivering high-quality, standards-based lessons in instrumental music.Organizing and conducting band rehearsals, performances, and concerts throughout the school year.Collaborating with classroom teachers, music colleagues, and building administrators to support student learning and scheduling.Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records.Cultivating a welcoming, positive environment that promotes student growth and musical achievement.Managing inventory and maintenance of instruments and equipment.Supporting student recruitment and retention efforts for the band program.Lansingburgh Central School District offers a highly competitive pay scale as well as excellent benefits.
