Rensselaer Park Elementary School (RPES) is seeking an experienced interim principal to play a critical role in ensuring a smooth transition during the search for a permanent principal.Responsibilities for the role of interim principal, may include but are not limited to: Support District’s vision, mission, and goals as it aligns with student achievement and successOversee daily school operations Conduct classroom observations and provide teacher feedback Support professional development for teachers and staffFoster a positive, inclusive school culture Build school, district and community relationships Utilize data to drive instructional decisions Qualifications for the role of interim principal, may include but are not limited to: NYS School Administrator Certificate (SDL/SDA) or pending reciprocity Previous experience as a successful school principal Ability to develop a cohesive building administration team Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong and definitive decision-making skills Knowledge of educational trends and best practices
