The successful candidate will:Have strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; Work collaboratively with staff, students, parents and JJMS community;Have a commitment to overall educational excellence for students and faculty; Have strong working knowledge of special education programming;Believe in the importance of all students and faculty developing a sense of belonging in their time at JJMS.Responsibilities:Lead department and grade level work as assigned; Plan for and oversee Homebase, grade level, and end of year events; Develop and implement experiences tied to the social-emotional development of students;Supervise students and implement student management procedures including discipline and attendance; Supervise and evaluate staff as assigned; Assist in supervision of daily and special events, including those outside the school day; Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal. OtherKnowledge of system such as PBIS and Master Scheduling preferred.Qualifications:New York State administrative certification (SAS/SDA/SBL) required.Middle school teaching experience preferred.
