KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of Math and Science Teacher (6 th Grade) at John Jay Middle School beginning September 1, 2026. Qualifications & Responsibilities: Possess a current NYS Elementary Grades K-6 or 1-6 Certification. Middle School extension for Math and Science is a plus. Exhibits knowledge of NY State Standards. Fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes the social and emotional well-being of students and nurtures a sense of belonging. Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice. Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research-based strategies that improve student outcomes. Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2026 Hours: Full-Time, (10 month) Salary and Benefits: $64,276 - $152,199 as per the KLDTA contract
