Special Education TeacherLong Term Substitute Location: John Jay High School Anticipated Start Date: October 14, 2025, through on or about December 20, 2025 Qualifications: Possess a current NYS Special Education 7-12 Certification. Responsibilities:Ability to teach students with special needs in resource room settings and as a co-teacher.Ability to align instruction with students’ IEP goals and use data to inform instruction.Familiarity with restorative practices a plus.Willingness to serve on Professional Learning Community vital.Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.Ability to collaborate with colleagues, students and families. Hours: Full-Time, Temporary Salary: $110 per day for the first 30 days and then $317.42 per day after 30 consecutive days.
