The Katonah-Lewisboro School District has a need for a long-term substitute teacher to cover business education classes at John Jay High School. The candidate will teach classes in accounting, business law and business dynamics. Location: John Jay High School Anticipated Start Date: February 26,2025, through on or about April 7, 2025Hours: Full-Time, TemporarySalary and Benefits: $110 per day for the first 30 days and then $313.50 per day after 30 consecutive days. Qualifications: NYS certification for Business Grades 7-12 is required.A successful candidate must:Possess a current NYS certification for Business Grades 7-12; Demonstrate enthusiasm for building relationships with students as much as the subject; Have experience with, or understanding of, project-based learning and strategies and strategies to engage with students of all ability levels; Maintain a commitment to implementing varied instructional and assessment strategies; Demonstrate an understanding of the New York State Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework;Be reflective about teaching practices;Work collaboratively with all colleagues.
