KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of Elementary Teacher at one of our three Elementary Schools beginning September 1, 2024. Qualifications: NYS Certification required.Experience Teaching Grades K-6. Responsibilities: Fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes the social and emotional well-being of students and nurtures a sense of belonging.Collaborates and communicates with colleagues, parents, and administration to best meet the needs of students.Utilizes current educational research to inform instructional practices.Implements culturally relevant practices into instruction ensuring that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students.Engages in regular, collaborative professional development to enhance one’s instructional practice. Hours: Full-time (10 month) Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2024 Salary: $62,699 - $141,489 as per the KLDTA contract
