Location: John Jay High School / Operations and MaintenanceHours: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pmResponsibilities: The duties of a night custodian involve the efficient performance of building cleaning. This work is performed according to a well-established routine, standard operating procedures, and can include the following tasks.Performs cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair tasks.Moves and arranges chairs, tables and other furniture and equipment.Cleans and mops lavatories and locker-rooms, empties waste baskets.Waxing floors; washes walls and windows, and dusting furniture.Building checks, ensuring windows and doors are closed and locked.Performs a variety of errands and related custodial tasks.Minor repairs to furniture, windows, doors, and shades.Clearing snow from walkways, & door entrances.Setting up events for athletics and approved facility use organizations.Visual checks of the building envelop, checking for potential leaks, temperatures, water pressure, lighting, tripping hazards, safety concerns, and reporting them to their supervisor.Apply on OLAS
