Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center has been serving the needs of preschool children with special needs in an interdisciplinary setting for over 30 years. We are seeking a full-time, enthusiastic Early Childhood Mental Health and Wellness Coordinator for our Middle Island site. This Coordinator will be an active member of the building Leadership Team and will provide support and oversee the Mental Health and Wellness Department which consists of LCSWs, LMSWs, and psychologists.General Job Responsibilities:- Provide ongoing professional development to school staff in the areas of Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES), Trauma-Informed Practices, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and tiered services, assessment tools, and community resources- Coordinate case management schedules and provide clinical supervision for the Mental Health and Wellness Department- Ensure the delivery and compliance of IEP services; review IEPs, annual reports, and quarterly reports- Oversee the development and implementation of our building-wide Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program, Classroom Response Team (CRT), and PBIS Committee- Conduct department meetings that encourage collaboration and innovation - Work with building-level administration and the BCBA to enhance social-emotional learning and mental health literacy throughout the school- Oversee family and custody orders as well as CPS cases- Develop procedures and systems that are congruent with Just Kids’ philosophy and will strengthen family-school connections and social-emotional wellnessQualifications:- Candidates must have a Masters degree in a related field- Candidates must be a Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)- Must have strong leadership, communication, organizational, and written skills- Must be motivated and eager to collaborate with others and strengthen the school’s mental health and family support systems- Must demonstrate a positive, proactive approach to resolving issues and conflicts- Must have experience in working with young, special needs children in an educational setting- Must have knowledge of multi-tiered support systems, developmentally appropriate and evidence-based practices, FBAs, BIPs, IEPs, CPSE/CSE procedures, PBIS, Special Education laws and regulations, assessment tools, and social-emotional learningBenefits:Competitive SalaryBenefits after 30 days401K after 6 months
