JCC of Mid Westchester Toward Tomorrow program is looking for an Early Childhood Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team for contract/fee for service child counseling and parent counseling for both program and related service for preschool children 3-5 years old with diverse educational disabilities. This position would be part-time 5 hours a week but potential for up to 10 hours in the futureMinimum Qualification/Requirements:- A master's degree in social work (M.S.W)- Hold up-to-date NYS credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)- Knowledge and interest in child development as well as a wide array of parenting strategies- A passion for working with young children and their families who possess a diverse range of needs and abilities.- Interest in professional development, clinical consultation and collaboration with other social worker(s) within the program-Spanish speaker idealResponsibilities :-Provide in person services to children with special needs ages 3-5 and their families (counseling, parent counseling.)-Provide psychoeducation and support to families to help them understand their child’s educational disability and equip them with the tools necessary to support their child’s educational and/or behavioral progress-Maintain appropriate mandated documentation regarding student services and subsequent needs in a thorough and confidential manner.
