The position is based on a 32 hour per week work schedule. The responsibilities include the following:Support the Special Education and Services Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the state funded programs as needed. Support NY state licensing requirements including program modifications, waivers, PD6, UPK contact, etc.Process, bill and report the NYSED SEDCAR Grant (completing SEDCAR 1 and FS10 forms).CFR accounting including productivity calculations, salary allocations, student FTEs, etc., working with JCC Finance Director and staff, and TT finance and support staff. Direct and instruct TT support staff regarding maintaining records necessary for the CFR including Purchase Orders and Therapist’s sessions. Support end-of-year reconciliation for CFR with Finance and oversee CFR deadlines. Train TT staff in CFR accounting requirements and build spreadsheets to support requested data collection, as needed.Manage and address CFR and general questions from finance, auditors and NY State. Support all NY state desk audit work. Work closely with the agency auditors to ensure accurate and timely CFR data.Create grant proposals for TT Program requirements regulated by NY State such as Health Care Bonus and Teacher Retention. Support the budget process for Special Education including TT, Private Special Education, and TIC departments.Support and provide guidance for evaluation billing and reporting, TT billing and reporting, payroll procedures, as needed. Support and guide Toward Tomorrow department in terms of attending Hudson Alliance for Children with Special Needs, department meetings, budget meetings, marketing meetings, parent conferences, grant writing, etc.Support the Enrichment Program Director in creating the CFR and contract documents for OPWDD programming.Work on special projects for the Special Education and Services Director as needed. Agency Grant Writer (as time permits included in the 32 hour job description)Write approximately 5 grant proposals per year including TT and enrichment programming grants. Responsibilities include researching funding opportunities, working with the Executive Director and JCC department heads to define grant needs, and creating and submitting grant proposals including narratives and budgets.
