Special Education Teacher - Leave ReplacementIsland Trees Memorial Middle School, Nassau County, seeks a talented and motivated educator for a leave replacement special education position in grades 5-8. This teacher will be expected to work collaboratively within our special education and reading teachers to support and further develop our students' reading and literacy skills. Candidates must possess a valid NYS teaching license in Special Education, allowing the candidate to work with students in grades 5-8. The expected length of this leave is August 27-December 23rd. A strong literacy/reading background is preferred. Please note that daily building substitute opportunities will be made available to the successful candidate for the period following this leave appointment.
