Island Trees School District, Nassau County, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated elementary teacher to join our outstanding staff in serving our students and school community. Position: Anticipated Probationary Opening, Grades K–6 Required Certification: K–6 Candidates should possess a strong foundation in ELA and mathematics, along with excellent pedagogical practices and knowledge of the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards. A deep understanding of literacy development—including the science of reading, differentiated instruction, and the ability to support diverse learners—is essential. We are looking for educators who are student-centered, collaborative, and committed to creating engaging and supportive classroom environments. Additional certifications (TESOL, Literacy) are welcomed.
