Special Education Teacher - HS Probationary, 1.0 FTE - 2025/26 School YearIrvington High School is seeking a passionate, student-centered Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. This is a full-time position serving students in grades 9–12. We are looking for a collaborative educator committed to supporting the academic and personal growth of all learners through inclusive practices and individualized instruction.Responsibilities Include:Co-teaching in general education classrooms across content areasLeading resource room instruction and providing targeted academic interventionsMonitoring student progress and using data to inform instructionWriting and maintaining IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulationsCollaborating regularly with general education teachers, service providers, and familiesPreferred Qualifications:Dual certification in Special Education and Mathematics (7–12)Experience with co-teaching models and differentiated instructionStrong communication and organizational skillsCommitment to inclusive education and equitable learning opportunitiesRequirements:Valid New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (Grades 7–12)Must meet all NYSED fingerprinting and background check requirementsWe look forward to welcoming an educator who will contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment while advancing the goals of our district’s Portrait of a Graduate.
