Full-time, probationary appointment. In partnership with the Building Principal, the Assistant Principal provides key leadership of a dynamic K-3 school community.The successful candidate will possess the following: Prior teaching and/or administrative experience preferred Strong desire to maximize every child’s potential and to celebrate the creativity of young learners Outstanding organizational, verbal and written communication skills Proven ability in the development and implementation of instructional programs Record of successful collaboration with parents and community members Exceptional knowledge of elementary practices in literacy and mathematics Deep knowledge of childhood development and social emotional learning Dedication to supporting the growth of a welcoming school environment that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion. Strong knowledge of New York State Learning Standards Experience in the implementation of MTSS/RTI and 504 processes Strong desire to grow professionally and a commitment to continuous improvement Experience in the evaluation and development of staff New York State School Building Leader Certification (SBL)
