The Hyde Park Central School District is seeking two (2) dedicated and student-centered Elementary Math AIS (Academic Intervention Services) Teachers for a full-time, probationary position. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide small-group and/or individual instruction to students in need of math intervention services.Use assessment data (universal screeners, diagnostic assessments, state and local benchmarks) to identify students requiring support and to monitor their progress.Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to align intervention strategies with core curriculum and classroom instruction.Develop and implement instructional plans that target specific student needs and build foundational math skills.Participate in Response to Intervention (RtI) / MTSS meetings and contribute to the development of academic support plans.Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for supporting learning at home.Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare necessary documentation for state reporting requirements.Stay current with research-based best practices in math intervention and differentiation strategies.Support school-wide efforts to improve math achievement and close achievement gaps.QualificationsRequired NYSED Certification:Childhood Education (Grades 1–6)Preferred:Strong background in elementary mathematics instructionFamiliarity with RtI/MTSS frameworksCommitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educationStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsThe Hyde Park Central School District is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a culturally diverse staff.
