Our mission is to empower our community to strive for excellence and embrace the opportunities of our globally connected world.Position: Special Education Coordinator (Full Time/12 Month/Probationary)Building: District (K-12)Start date: ASAPThis Special Education Coordinator position is responsible for chairing the Committee on Special Education for students in grades 6-12. All of the duties below fall under this district level position, as well as other duties assigned by the Director of Special Education. - Oversee case management of students with disabilities and IEP development - Chair all CSE meetings for students in grades 6-12 - Work collaboratively with building level administrators to ensure implementation of special education services - Assist with staffing, observation/evaluation, and professional development - Contribute to the development of the special education budgetCandidates must be highly motivated district leaders with leadership and supervisory experience. In addition, she/he will be focused on assisting and collaborating with District administration and staff in the implementation of District initiatives, priorities and goals. Successful candidates must possess strong communication skill; exceptional knowledge of special education service delivery and instructional practices; ability to collaborate well with all stakeholders; and a record of successful experience as an administrator.
