Job Title: School Psychologist Location: Hewlett-Woodmere School DistrictDuration: Approximately 10 Weeks (Leave Replacement) Anticipated Start Date: Anticipated January 5th, 2026 End Date: Anticipated March 13, 2026Position Overview:The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Psychologist for approximately a three-month leave replacement position. This role requires NYS certification as a school psychologist. The successful candidate will serve Kindergarten and First-Grade students at Franklin Early Childhood Center.This is a unique opportunity for an educator committed to inclusive education, academic excellence, and supporting students with diverse learning needs.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychological and educational evaluations in accordance with NYS and federal regulations.Conduct Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA)Participate in Section 504 meetings.Chair and manage Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetingsProvide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services to students as needed.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and behavioral success.Develop and assist with implementation of behavior intervention plans and academic supports.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.Liaison with SEPTA and building PTACommunicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration.Qualifications:Required Certifications:· New York State Certification as a School Psychologist (required).· Experience working with diverse student populations in a Pre-K/Elementary educational settings preferred.· Strong knowledge of NYS Part 200 regulations and best practices in psychoeducational assessment.· Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Preferred Experience:Familiarity with Frontline and IEP development, implementation, and complianceStrong collaboration and communication skillsWork Schedule & Compensation:This is a full-time leave replacement position.Compensation in accordance with district substitute/leave replacement psychologist pay scale.Application Process:Interested candidates should submit the following:Cover LetterResumeCopy of NYS Certifications3 professional referencesSubmit all materials via OLASEqual Opportunity EmployerHewlett-Woodmere Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, or age in employment or its programs.
