Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools seeks an Athletic Trainer.Varied Hours and Days. The AT will b expected to attend home athletic contests and practices as scheduled. Evaluate injuries, provide first aid to athletes and determine fitness to return to play. Plan and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes. Perform administrative tasks, such as writing reports and instructions. Develop and maintain inventory of athletic training supplies. Apply tape, bandages, and braces to protect or prevent injuries prior to events. Monday– Friday starting at 2:30 pm end time will be determined by director of athletics and game and practice schedules. Weekends to be determine by game and practice schedule. Collaborate with school nurses and develop outreach to local healthcare facilities. Reports to Director of Athletics. Candidates must have:A baccalaureate or higher degree from a program accredited by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), or the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).Current CPR and First Aid trainingStrength & conditioning certification a plus .
