We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and highly qualified Middle School Math Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to make an impact on students' mathematical development while working in a collaborative and innovative school community.We are looking for a skilled educator to fill a leave replacement position for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses, including Algebra, Pre-Algebra, AIS (Academic Intervention Services), and a STEAM elective.Algebra & Pre-Algebra: Teach middle school algebra and pre-algebra concepts to students at varying levels of ability, ensuring a strong foundation in mathematical principles.AIS (Academic Intervention Services): Provide targeted math intervention for students requiring additional support to meet grade-level standards.STEAM Elective: Teach a hands-on, inquiry-based STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) elective that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning.Develop engaging and effective lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and promote student achievement.Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and adjusting instruction as needed.Foster a positive classroom environment where all students feel valued, supported, and challenged.Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide initiatives and student success.QualificationsValid New York State Certification in Mathematics (Grades 5-9 or 7-12) or equivalent certification for middle school math.Proven experience teaching Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and/or other middle school math courses.Experience working with students who require intervention and differentiated instruction.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.Passion for teaching and a deep commitment to student success in math and STEAM subjects.Knowledge of or willingness to learn technology and tools that enhance learning, including digital resources and interactive platforms.
