Probationary English Teacher - Herricks High SchoolSPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Student centered approach that promotes critical thinking;Incorporate instructional technology to promote student engagement and enhance the learning of English;Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required;Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflects accommodation for individual needs of students assigned;Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to Individual Education Plans (IEP);Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school district;Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students;Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers;Maintain professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members;Other duties as assigned by the Principal or the Director of English that will provide for a successful program.
