The Assistant Director for Instructional Technology, Digital Innovation and Communication will work with the Director of Instructional Technology and the technology team to integrate technology and higher-order thinking skills into the technology curriculum in ways that develop innovation, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:Assist in the planning of short and long-term goals for technology implementation and integration. Assist in preparing and managing annual budgets for computer hardware, software, staff training, supplies, hardware maintenance and staffing.Assist the Director of Instructional Technology in implementing all required security and privacy policies and procedures as set forth by Ed Law 2-D and district policy.Develop technology curriculum and select technology-oriented learning tools for the classroom.Design, implement and support learning opportunities for teachers intended to build capacity and expertise in the use of instructional technology and incorporation of higher-order thinking skills.Design and implement professional development for teachers in the use of instructional technology and strategies to support all students.Model lessons and assist with curriculum design and pacing.Lead grade level and department data teams meetings.Other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
