The successful candidate will join a highly motivated team in one of the most linguistically and culturally diverse high achieving district in Nassau County. We seek an outstanding collaborator with experience working with students, parents and school staff. SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Provide individual and group services to children and/or parents that emphasize improved educational performance and/or conduct.Experience with elementary students in life skills program.Develops and maintains supportive therapeutic and behavioral management programs, including Behavior Intervention Plans to promote academic achievement, social and emotional wellbeing.Experience implementing crisis intervention plans and/or crisis intervention techniques.Participate as a member of the Committee of Special Education team to contribute evaluation findings and collaborating on the child’s individual educational plan. May serve as CSE Chairperson.Knowledgeable of MTSS processes.Experience chairing Child Study/Child Find/Sub CSE & 504 meetings.
