The Harborfields Central School District is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Annualized Probationary Special Education Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a caring, energetic, and student-centered professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children.About the Role: As a Special Education Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of our elementary students. Working closely with teachers and staff, you will:Support students with disabilities in classroom and small group settings.Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies.Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Collaborate with colleagues to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.Qualifications:Required: New York State Teaching Assistant Certification (Level I, II, III, or Pre-Professional) or a valid New York State Teacher Certificate (Initial or Professional).Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.Strong teamwork, patience, and communication skills.Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.Why Join Harborfields?
