The Hoosic Valley Central School District is accepting applications for a full-time, probationary School Psychologist for the 2022-2023 school year. NYS Certification Required. School Social Worker applicants will also be considered for this position. The successful candidate will: Demonstrate competency in selecting and administering a range of cognitive, achievement, and social-emotional assessments. Effectiveness in utilizing results to guide interventions and IEP development. Lead prevention efforts by possessing a comprehensive knowledge of MTSS to support the growth and development of all students. Participate in student-based support meetings as needed.Offer direct consultation to the educational team to support those students with academic or behavioral difficulties. Provide Section 504 mandated counseling services.Provide crisis-based assessment and short-term counseling support as needed to all students.Participate in the development of functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans, as well as safety risk assessments.Contribute to special education program development/evaluation that furthers the integration of best practices into the classroom.Serve as sub-CSE chairperson as needed.
