2026 – 2027 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCIES These Positions are subject to Civil Service Approval POSITIONS: LIFEGUARDS – PART-TIME The Hempstead UFSD is seeking qualified lifeguards to provide supervision at the swimming pool at Hempstead High School during the regular school day. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a safe pool environment Supervise students during physical education classes and aquatic activities Respond to emergencies as needed LOCATION: Hempstead High School DATES: September 14, 2026 – June 8, 2027 DAYS/HOURS: Monday-Friday - 7:30 A.M. – 6:30 P.M. (maximum of 19.5 hours per week) QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Nassau County Lifeguard Certification Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications COMPENSATION: $45 per hour CLOSING DATE: July 27, 2026
