2025 – 2026 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCIESThis Position is subject to Civil Service Approval POSITIONS: CLEANER/BUS DRIVERSLOCATION: DistrictwideQUALIFICATIONS: - Possession of a valid New York State CDL Class A or B with P&S endorsements for buses, or a Class C with P&S endorsements for vans, with no convictions for moving violations during the past year and appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.- Drivers must be at least 21 years of age.- Candidates must satisfy all requirements of Article 19-A of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. In addition, candidates must satisfy the requirements for School Bus Driver set forth in the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education.- Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and maintain compliance with state and federal CDL guidelines. JOB DUTIES:Operates a school bus to transport children.Cleans, washes, and polishes bus.Sweeps, mops, washes walls, dusts, empties waste baskets, and disposes of rubbish; handles towels and other cleaning supplies; waxes floors, and washes windows and blackboards.Assists in cartage of supplies and equipment.May set up and remove furniture for special affairs.COMPENSATION: Contractual CLOSING DATE: January 16, 2026
