Harmony Heights is a therapeutic special education high school located in Nassau County, L.I. Harmony Heights has an immediate opening for a certified ELA Teacher to join our academic/therapeutic school community for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will be able to work with an interdisciplinary approach, be highly engaging, student-centered and knowledge of Regents exam preparation.Candidate must hold a valid and current NYS teaching certification and be able to differentiate content and materials to meet the needs of special education students. Experience with ELA regents and special education a plus.Harmony Heights is a year-round school, with a 6 week summer program. Candidates must be able to work 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, as well as Tuesday staff meetings until 4:30 pm. and a 12-month program.
