Henry Johnson Charter School has an opening for a full time elementary teacher. Initial training and orientation starts upon hiring and moves towards a classroom appointment ASAP. Must have valid NYS certification. Applications are being accepted through OLAS only, and this will be an on-going process until the position is filled.The Elementary School Teacher will plan, prepare, and teach well developed, culturally responsive lessons which enthuse and inspire students, and promote an exciting rigorous learning environment. They will assess and track relevant achievement and developmental results and needs of students and maintain a strong home, school and community connection. This position will require a high degree of creativity, cultural awareness, and problem-solving capabilities. This position will report to the Head of School. Additional funds are available for an experienced teacher with results.
