The Highland Falls Intermediate School is seeking an Elementary Teacher Long Term Substitute to begin December 12, 2025.Successful candidates should have/be:NYSED Fingerprint clearance;NYS Childhood Education (1-6);Comprehensive knowledge of NYS Next Generation Learning Standards and mandates;An individual who can uphold our district's core values of Readiness, Inclusion, Social Justice, and Empathy;A strong understanding of pedagogical practices that promote a student-centered learning environment;The ability to establish a shared commitment to the goals of the school and the District by building a strong relationship with administrators, fellow staff, students, and parents a like;Instructional leaders who embrace risk-taking and innovations, and can identify programs that reflect best practice;Organized individuals with strong problem-solving skills and experience in cultivating a thriving and proficient curriculum;Compassionate educators with the ability to not only engage students in meaningful instruction, but the desire and capacity to grow through both the teaching and learning experience overall;Teachers College Reading and Writing Project and Fundations background is preferred.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
