The Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District is accepting applications for a Director of Athletics, Physical Education and Health Education position. This is a full-time probationary position.Qualifications:School District Administrator Certificate or School District Leader Certificate;Physical Education Certification;Administrative experience;Teaching experience in physical education;Coaching experience;Sound interpersonal, motivation, organization, and communication skills;Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate;NYSED fingerprint clearance.Reports to:Superintendent of SchoolsSupervises:Teachers of Physical Education;Teachers of Health Education;Athletic Coaches, Assistants, Athletic Security for events and Athletic Chaperones for events;Athletic Trainer.The Director of Athletics, Health and Physical Education will work with administrative, supervisory, and instructional personnel in striving for excellence in the interscholastic and intramural athletic programs, and in the development of and delivery of curriculum and instruction in the areas of health and physical education.The position of Director of Athletics, Physical Education and Health Education is a K-12 administrative position. The Director is responsible for all areas of athletics, and for articulation and coordination of curriculum and instruction in the areas of physical education and health education. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for co-chairing the Wellness Committee with the High School Principal and supporting initiatives around the health, wellness and safety of all students across the District.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
