The District seeks an enthusiastic individual for a band and general music position in the Highland Falls Intermediate School.The ideal candidate will:Work with students grades 5-8 in both instrumental and general music;Have the ability and interest in encouraging students to further their instrumental journey with additional activities such as All County and NYSSMA festivals;Have pedagogy that focuses student-centered instructional practices;Conduct rehearsals, small group lessons, and performances throughout the school year along with teaching general music;Have the ability to assess student progress and provide feedback;Work closely with the High School to encourage student participation through the years.Requirements:NYS Music certification;NYSED fingerprint clearance.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
