The Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District is inviting applications for the position of Probationary Instructional Technology Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general IT support, assisting with device and asset management, managing network and system administration, and ensuring security and access control.Responsibilities:Provide technical assistance and support for staff and students.Manage help desk tickets and prioritize tasks effectively.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.Install and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software applicationsEnsure all IT equipment and systems are properly maintained and updated.Help maintain and update an inventory of IT assets and equipment.Manage the School District iPads using Jamf.Help manage and repair the district Chromebooks.Assist with both physical and digital network maintenance.Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with data protection regulations according to Board policies.Assist with setting up and maintaining classroom technology (interactive TVs, document cameras, etc.).Provide basic guidance for teachers and staff on school technology resources.Attend weekly IT department meetings to discuss upcoming and ongoing projects, as well as other IT-related topics.Minimum Qualifications: Either:(A) Completion of sixty (60) credits at a regionally accredited college or university of one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees and one (1) year of experience involving the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and/or software which shall have included instructing and/or providing technical advice to users; OR(B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years of experience as outlined in (A) above; OR(C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limited of A and B.NOTE: Possession of A+ Certification may be substituted for one (1) year of required experience.NYS TEACH fingerprint clearance is required.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
