The Highland Falls Intermediate School is looking for a Modified Girls' Basketball Coach for the Winter 2024-2025 season.Coaches are responsible for the daily functions of the team, including but not limited to:Organizing practice six days a week including during school vacations;Organizing out of season learning/training experiences;Attending required meetings;Monitoring uniform and equipment inventories;Enforcing district athletic policies;Providing opportunities for their team to give back to the local community.Modified coaches will work cooperatively with the Varsity coach for assisting at games/contests, scouting, scheduling, coaches' meetings, film and other assignments needed for the program.Candidates must meet the NYS Department of Education coaching requirements and be willing to participate in ongoing professional development.Requirements:Must either hold or obtain a NYS Coaching certification/license;Must have or complete First Aid, CPR and Concussion trainings;Must have or complete DASA and Child Abuse/Violence Prevention trainings;Must have or obtain NYSED fingerprint clearance.Hours:Monday through Friday - 2 hour practicesTime Slots:- Early: 3:15-4:30pm- 4:30-6pm- Games are scheduled either at 4:00pm, 4:30pm, 5:00pm or 5:30pm.Application procedure: Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration on OLAS OR Please send your cover letter and resume for consideration to Travis Powers, Director of Athletics (Travis.Powers@hffmcsd.org).
