The Highland Falls - Fort Montgomery Central School District is seeking a full-time 6-8 Academic Intervention Services Teacher (AIS) for the 2021-2022 school year. The school district is looking for inspiring educators who can work with our students to accelerate mathematical understanding and achievement. The candidate will be able to serve as a collaborative team member on our school’s Response to Intervention Team. Experience providing interventions and related supports that will assure positive academic outcomes for all studentsStrong math, curriculum, instruction and assessment skills requiredExcellent skills in collaboration with colleagues and leading professional development Responsibilities:Daily math instruction with small groups of students to provide acceleration in mathematical concepts and applications in collaboration with classroom teachersServes as a resource in identifying appropriate instructional strategies and interventions to improve student achievement for all studentsCollaboration with the RTI team and building assistant principal to assist in the analysis and utilization of assessment data to improve the focus of instructional planning and student achievement.Meet regularly with the RTI Team and building assistant principal to review benchmarks and establish data points to assess student progress toward established instructional goals. Candidate is highly collaborative & collegialCandidate will possess interdisciplinary and integrative knowledge of mathematics and familiarity with data driven cycles of instruction.Other duties as assigned
