DIRECTOR OF K-12 PHYSICAL EDUCATION, HEALTH & ATHLETICS Candidates should possess the following qualifications:At least five years of successful teaching, coaching, and administrative experience preferredExperience designing, monitoring and supervising all components of the athletic program to promote a positive team culture, good sportsmanship and academic successProvide leadership in the selection, assignment, supervision, and evaluation of Physical Education, Health, and Coaching staff membersProvide leadership and oversight of curriculum development and implementation for Physical Education and Health K-12 with a focus on life fitness and wellnessDemonstrates an ability to collaborate with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members to support and enhance the athletic, PE, and Health programsDemonstrates strong organizational and management skills as well as proactive communication skills with all stakeholdersHighly attentive to detail and able to exercise good judgment and integrity to support the academic and athletic programsMaintains strong relationship and understanding of Section 1 processes, implements policy and maintains records related to, but not limited to academic eligibility, APP, NCAA, and other regulations/mandatesPossesses appropriate NYS certification as a School District Leader and Physical Education and/or Health TeacherREPORTS TO Superintendent of Schools Highly competitive salary and benefits.
