The Haldane Central School District, located in Cold Spring, NY in the Hudson Valley, seeks a Teacher Aide to support an elementary-aged student who attends a local private school. The aide should have experience working with children who have special needs and must be a flexible, caring, and creative individual. Duties will include, but not be limited to, supporting the student’s ability to attend in the classroom, modeling and promoting skills related to learning, (i.e., organization of materials, task completion, and problem solving) and ensuring the student’s safety during transitions and less structured times (i.e., recess). This position is expected to begin March 22, 2023 and continue until June 23, 2023 (for the whole school day). Qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
