Support teachers in preparing instructional materials, supervising students, and managing classrooms. Assist with daily plans, IEP goals, testing accommodations, and teaching small groups. Accompany classes to special activities and take responsibility in the teacher's absence. Perform clerical tasks, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to school policies.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate on and execute daily instructional plansPrepare materials and assist with classroom managementSupervise students and teach small groupsProvide testing accommodations and perform clerical tasksAccompany classes to activities and assume teacher responsibilities when neededUse positive behavior strategies and participate in professional developmentServe as a role model and maintain ethical behaviorQualifications:Valid NYS certification as a teaching assistant (or teacher) requiredExperience with students with disabilitiesStrong behavior management skillsBilingual candidates encouraged to applySalary: $22,956 - $29,588 for a 10-month period, based on education and experience. Additional compensation opportunities are available through a separate 6-week summer school program contract
