The Hallen School, a K-12 Special Education school, is seeking a dynamic Assistant Principal. Join us in a role where you will directly support the Principal and play a crucial part in our educational leadership team.Key Responsibilities:Administrative and operational support to the Principal.Collaboration with the Administration Team.Overseeing daily operations, educational programs, and faculty development.Engagement with students, families, and community.Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.NYS Certification required (SAS, SBL, SDA, SDL).Minimum of 3 years teaching experience; special education preferred.Preferably at least 3 years of experience in an Educational leadership position (ex: Asst. Principal, Department/Team Leader).Knowledge of special education regulations and curriculum.Excellent leadership and communication skills.An understanding of Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention is desirable but not a prerequisite for the position.Experience with computer-based educational programs.
