This hands-on, systems-focused position will be responsible for strengthening instructional coherence, overseeing special education compliance, advancing curriculum innovation, promoting enrollment growth, and building internal staff capacity. The successful candidate will also serve as the strategic leader supervising student transitions—into the district upon enrollment, and out of the district at discharge or graduation—ensuring appropriate placement, programming, and continuity of support at every stage. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly capable administrator who can think strategically, execute decisively, and contribute meaningfully to the transformation of a Special Act district known for its innovative programming and deep commitment to student success. Key Responsibilities Include:Lead the development and alignment of K–12 curriculum in all core content areasDesign and deliver professional development and instructional coachingOversee special education services, IEP implementation, CSE functions, and VR1–VR16/Indicator complianceSupervise student transitions and ensure placements are appropriate from intake through discharge or graduationPromote district programs to external partners and referring districts to increase enrollmentGuide internal capacity-building initiatives and succession pipelines (e.g., TA-to-Teacher)Oversee instructional technology systems, academic digital presence, and data dashboardsGradually replace external consultants by building internal systems and staff expertiseQualifications: Required:Valid NYS SAS, SBL, or SDL certificationAt least 5 years of administrative experience in special education and/or curriculum and instructionStrong working knowledge of IDEA, Part 200, CSE processes, and state/federal complianceDemonstrated ability to lead professional learning and instructional improvementTechnological fluency with platforms such as IEP Direct, PowerSchool, Google WorkspaceAbility to cultivate strong relationships with sending districts, PPS Directors, and familiesPreferred:Terminal degree (Ed.D./Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership, Special Education, or related fieldExperience in Special Act, therapeutic, or trauma-informed school environmentsDemonstrated success increasing enrollment or program visibilityBackground in digital strategy, media, or school brandingTo Apply:Submit a letter of interest, résumé, NYS certification(s), and at least three professional references via OLAS and to: Office of the Superintendent Greenburgh Eleven Union Free School District P.O.
