If you are a tech-savvy educator who is excited about shaping students’ futures, we invite you to join our team.Responsibilities:Innovative Teaching - Utilize available technologies to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for students with primary focus on the following:Coding and Programming - Introduce students to programming languages like Python, Java, or Scratch to develop coding skills and computational thinking.Robotics – Designing, building, and programming robots to introduce students to principles of engineering, automation, and problem-solving.STEM - Work with students and fellow teachers to connect technology use with current innovations in STEM-related fields.Web Development – Introduce a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and possibly JavaScript.Digital Design and Multimedia – create digital content such as graphics, animations, and multimedia presentations.Cybersecurity Awareness – Educate students about online security, privacy, and the importance of protecting personal information in the digital age.Augmented and Virtual Reality - Explore the applications of AR and VR technologies, allowing students to create or experience immersive content.Digital Citizenship – Teach responsible and ethical use of technology, including online behavior, internet safety, and the impact of digital footprint.Computer Literacy – Teach basic computer skills such as keyboarding, file management, and using common software applications.Requirements and Qualifications:Valid NYS certification in Technology Education.Experience working with special education students required.Application Deadline: The last day for filing applications is July 12, 2024 or until position is filled.Interested candidates are encouraged to submit resumes and cover letters outlining relevant experience to…
