JOB TITLE: Special Education Teacher Aides (1:1 Aides) LOCATION: Greenburgh Eleven UFSD BASIS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hourly rate per contract LAST DAY FOR FILING APPLICATION: Continuous Recruitment DESCRIPTION: Our school building, comprising an elementary, middle, and high school are currently seeking 1:1 teaching aides. Multiple vacancies for students in need of 1:1 academic support and behavior management. Candidates should be full of optimism, encouragement and kindness in educating young minds. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma required and fingerprinting clearance.QUALIFICATIONS: (preferred,not required)Previous work with students in a variety of programs.Previous work with students individually and in small group settings.Previous experience providing assistance in direct support of students and teachersCharacteristics Desired: Must have good interpersonal skillsbe organized, dependablehave the ability to work in a team environment Greenburgh Eleven is a Special Acts school working with students who are classified special education and have individualized educational plans.
