Our smaller class sizeoffers students the support needed to meet success. Our teachers plan and provideappropriate learning experiences to meet the various learning styles of our students.The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learningenvironment that provides specialized instruction for students, such that the studentsaccess the curriculum to the greatest extent possible when supported with supplementalaides, accommodations, and other needed supports.Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:Provide direct instructional support to students in a positive environment asdeveloped by the classroom teacher.Model socially acceptable behavior, as determined by the students' individualizededucation programs (IEPs) by employing techniques in an overall positivebehavioral support system.Establish rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environmentconducive to learning for all students.Help students understand objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
