Fingerprint Clearance? Valid for 3 yearsGreenburgh Eleven is a Special Acts school working with students who are classified special education and have individualized educational plans. Our smaller class sizeoffers students the support needed to meet success. Our teachers plan and provide appropriate learning experiences to meet the various learning styles of our students.The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students, such that the students access the curriculum to the greatest extent possible when supported with supplemental aides, accommodations, and other needed supports.Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:? Provide direct instructional support to students in a positive environment as developed by the classroom teacher.? Model socially acceptable behavior, as determined by the students' individualized education programs (IEPs) by employing techniques in an overall positivebehavioral support system.? Establish rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to learning for all students.? Help students understand objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
