Our work is grounded in trauma-informed practices, restorative approaches, and a deep commitment to meeting students where they are while helping them build language proficiency, confidence, and pathways for success. Position ResponsibilitiesProvide English as a New Language (ENL) instruction aligned with NYSED requirements and students’ individualized language proficiency levelsTeach Spanish language courses that promote linguistic skills, cultural awareness, and student engagementSupport multilingual learners through integrated and stand-alone ENL services, as appropriateCollaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure instructional alignment and student progressMaintain accurate documentation, assessments, and progress monitoring consistent with district and state expectationsFoster a supportive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment QualificationsNew York State Certification in ENL (ESOL) requiredNew York State Certification in Spanish preferred (or ability to teach Spanish coursework)Experience working with multilingual learners and diverse student populationsKnowledge of trauma-informed, restorative, and student-centered instructional practices preferredStrong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Position DetailsPart-time ENL and part-time Spanish assignmentSchedule and allocation to be determined based on student needs and program requirementsSalary commensurate with experience and in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreementApplication ProcessInterested candidates should submit:A letter of interestResumeCopy of NYS certification(s)ReferencesApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
