The REACH Academy in West Harrison, NY - a part of the Greenburgh-North Castle Union Free School District - is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead an Elementary/Middle School classroom with a strong emphasis on ABA practices. This position is immediately available and will continue into the 2026-2027 school year. The REACH Academy is a public, highly therapeutic program, specializing in working with students who have clinically complex needs. The majority of the student body is on the Autism Spectrum. This position will involve working with our school's most fragile population, many of whom have emerging language skills and are still developing basic life skills. This class operates under a self-contained model with a fair amount of discrete trial instruction. The students in this program will be receiving Alternate Assessment. The school prides itself on the warm, safe and welcoming culture we have created and are looking for applicants who truly value the importance of Special Education in their instructional practices. Background in ABA, RBT certification or certification/licensure as a BCBA a plus.
