Kaplan Career Academy is seeking a School Psychologist to work with students who present significant academic and behavioral challenges. The 6 week position is for the upcoming Summer session (July 8th to August 16th, 2024).Summer session pay rate: 7,654.50 for the full 6 weeks.Responsibilities Experience with participating in CSE meetings preferredHelp identify needs of individual studentSupports the teaching process to increase learningProvides consultation to parents, teachers and school personnelBuilds relationships with parents by communicating frequently to inform them of student academic and personal growthDelivers a planned and coordinated program of psychological servicesQualifications:Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational settingKnowledge of child welfare policies and proceduresStrong crisis management skills and ability to intervene in high-stress situationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary teamCertification Requirements:NYSED Certified (Required)
